New Peoples Financial Services, Inc.
Privacy Policy
Protecting the privacy of our clients and their personal account information is held in the highest priority at New Peoples Financial Services. As a result, under no circumstances will New Peoples Financial sell, share or otherwise provide your personal information to any non-affiliated third party entity, except as set forth in this policy.
In order to maintain and service customer accounts, New Peoples Financial will gather and store information about our account holders. This information, collected via our new account application and other account documentation, is critical to open and administer your account. In addition to this collected information, transactions facilitated by you through New Peoples Financial will be kept for reporting purposes and pursuant to our regulatory requirements. To provide superior service to our clients, it is necessary for New Peoples Financial to share information with third parties currently involved in a contractual relationship with us (such as your referring financial institution). This sharing of personal information is carried out on a strictly professional basis and is incidental to servicing your account. We have received assurances from these third parties that they will not share your personal information.
Through the normal course of servicing your account, certain agents and employees may have access to your confidential account information. This may include operations and support personnel, as well as your investment professional. Access to this information is limited and held in the strictest confidence.
Information about former customers who do not currently maintain an account relationship with New Peoples Financial is not shared with any outside party.
Due to the partnerships that New Peoples Financial has with financial institutions to offer investment services, sharing of information with these financial institutions is critical to servicing your account. Allowing this sharing process to continue uninterrupted will allow you to take full advantage of the value offered by the relationship between your financial institution and New Peoples Financial Services. This type of sharing does not occur in the states of Vermont and North Dakota.
New Peoples Financial does offer customers the option to limit the sharing of information between New Peoples Financial and referring financial institutions. If you would like to request that your information not be shared with your referring financial institution or if you would like more information about New Peoples Financial Services’ Privacy Policy, please notify us in writing to New Peoples Financial Services, Attn: Compliance/Privacy Policy, 101 Linden Square Drive, Bristol, VA 24202.
Product Partners
New Peoples Financial may form a strategic relationship with certain mutual fund, annuity or other product providers. As part of these relationships, UVEST may receive compensation in excess of that disclosed in the product’s prospectus. UVEST does not mandate any specific sales goals for products offered by these providers, nor does New Peoples Financial penalize registered representatives for offering products of a provider who does not maintain a strategic relationship with New Peoples Financial. If you would like more information, please write to us at New Peoples Financial Services, 101 Linden Square Drive, Bristol, VA 24202.
Business Continuity Plan
UVEST has established a Business Continuity Plan that will support our ability to conduct business in the event of a Significant Business Disruption (SBD). This plan is reviewed and updated annually and can be updated more frequently if necessary. We have identified three types of SBD’s that could affect UVEST’s functionality: building inaccessibility, loss of systems, and inclement weather. Should UVEST be impacted by an SBD, we aim to minimize business interruption as quickly and efficiently as possible. We have implemented recovery plans that address each of our SBDs and intend to be operational within 4 hours. In the event UVEST is not accessible, clients may call our clearing firm, Pershing, directly for assistance at 201-413-3635. To receive more information about UVEST’s Business Continuity Plan, please send your request in writing to: UVEST Financial Services, Business Continuity Plan Coordinator, 200 South College Street, 21st Floor, Charlotte, NC 28202.
